You will be charged VAT at the point of sale on our website. This rate is dependent on which country you are in. This is called a Delivery Duty Paid rate and once the parcel is on its way with DHL, you will not be charged any duty or further VAT upon delivery.


Campbell’s of Beauly will not charge you VAT at the point of sale on our website. VAT and Duty are payable by the customer upon receipt of the goods, these costs are non-refundable by Campbell’s of Beauly, different rates apply to each country. Please check your Gov website to see the Deminimis rate for your country. DHL will contact you to pay this.  All orders on this site will be charged in British Pounds Sterling and the UK VAT is automatically deducted from your cart.

Question: Can I have free postage?

Answer: We all like free postage and we have considered offering it but the costs would have to be absorbed somewhere else (i.e. the price of the clothes going up). This is a genuine charge that we have to pay and therefore we have no alternative other than to ask you to contribute to this cost. A Royal Mail rate calculator will automatically update your shipping costs at checkout. The cost is dependent on the overall weight of your order. All international parcels will be sent via DHL, this is in order to have smooth delivery crossing borders and to fully track your parcel.

Question: Why don’t you always offer free returns when most of your competitors do?

Answer: Again, as we mentioned earlier, it would mean the costs being pushed on to the clothes. The costs are more transparent this way.

Refunds & Exchanges

We guarantee to refund your goods when an item is returned unworn within 14 days of invoice date (UK customers); 21 days (Europe excluding UK); 28 days (Rest of the World). Please note that we are unable to exchange or refund items once they have been hemmed or altered. Returns that do not meet our policy will not be accepted and will be sent back. Once we’ve received your items, you’ll receive an acknowledgement email. We’ll issue a refund to your original payment method that same day and your credit card company will typically take 4-7 working days to process the refund but we  usually have processed the refund with 24 hours.

Should you wish to return any item to us we will happily accept returns in our Beauly store or by mail to the following address: CUSTOMER RETURNS, Campbell’s of Beauly, Highland Tweed House, High Street, Beauly, IV4 7BU.

Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning goods to us unless the item was delivered to you in error. We would recommend for your own protection that you use a recorded delivery service or alternatively we recommend that you request a proof of postage from the Post Office and keep your receipt until your return has been processed. Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for anything lost or damaged in transit.


If you are returning goods from outside the UK please read the following carefully: Many items that are returned to us get held up at customs due to incorrect labelling resulting in substantial customs charges and in some cases goods being returned to the sender (you). This often occurs to items coming back from the U.S. & EU; we are unable to accept, or refund, any such costs associated with return goods levied by customs or carriers. Please able both the outside of the package and the airway bill with the following phrase: ‘BRITISH RETURN GOODS’ This is very important as it prevents you, the customer, being charged with any import duty or tax on goods that are simply being returned to the UK for exchange or refund.
